News Article Did you know that the Dutch League had a record participation last weekend?
posted: Aug 28th, 2006 The latest scores on the NSL leaderboard are from the two international meets last weekend. The Dutch League (DL) held its fourth and last competition of the 2006 season at Blue Side Up on the island of Texel. League manager Mike Pennock reported a record participation of eleven teams. Other events in the Netherlands, as the Tomscat Trophy and the national championships, which are both included in the Dutch League's schedule, have attracted a larger number of teams in the past. However, last weekend's competition had new record numbers for the A Class and Rookie Class competition at a regulat... (more)

posted: Aug 26th, 2006 The new meet weekend is already in full swing, while the NSL News takes another closer look at last weekend's complete leaderboard. 72 teams are listed on the scores page and used the same competition draw. This number represents a new record weekend in the NSL history. Participation records have been broken on a regular basis this year. Great Britain was the major contributor to the new record number this time. 47 of the 72 teams competed at the British Nationals 2006. News Article Did you know that new 4-way VRW scores were posted last weekend?

News Article Did you know that bad weather did not keep three Midwest teams from competing?
posted: Aug 24th, 2006 A lousy weather forecast for Saturday held down attendance, and a stubborn layer of low clouds delayed the start of our fourth meet of the season at Chicagoland Skydiving until the following day. We have not had serious weather issues for a meet for over two years here in the Midwest, but our luck finally ran out. Sunday did open with gorgeous clear skies and nice skydiving weather, but by then only three teams had returned to take advantage of it. Whether it was the long delay or just coincidence, all three teams got off to rough starts on Sunday. In the AAA Class, CSC Rubicon (Rich Madsen,... (more)
News Article Did you know that Perris Airkix is the first all-female British 4-way champion?
posted: Aug 22nd, 2006 The 2006 season was a good one for the British team Perris Airkix, and the last two weeks turned a good season into a dream season. The NSL News had mentioned in earlier stories that Airkix was expected to possibly offer the French Women's team at least a little bit competition for the world championship title in the female category. Things turned out differently at the World Meet 2006 in Germany. It took Julia Foxwell, Emma Beyer, Amanda Kemp, Claire Scott and Andy Wright (camera) only two rounds to threaten France enough and then pull away round by round. Eventually, Airkix won the meet by... (more)
News Article Did you know that the next scores from Great Britain and Austria are already posted?
posted: Aug 19th, 2006 The World Meet 2006 in Germany and the Malevsky Cup 2006 in Russia have just been concluded, and the NSL News looks back at two very busy weeks in Europe. There was a lot of positive feedback from the audience, and the NSL News appreciates the fact that the event coverage seems to provide enough information and visuals. However, there is not much of a break, the 2006 season of 4-way competition is far from being over. Several events are scheduled for this weekend, and the first scores are already posted. Austria already completed the 6-round competition, and Monkey Circus won the meet. (more)
