News Article Did you know that the French teams will keep up with heart, soul and passion?
posted: Oct 27th, 2005 The NSL News had the opportunity to spend more time with the French national coach Jerome David in Eloy who has already kindly provided the NSL audience with updates from France several times in the past. The NSL News spoke with Jerome David in the morning of the third day at the FAI World Cup 2005. Jerome David supervises and manages the whole Formation Skydiving competition for the French skydiving association. He is also the technical coach of the French female 4-way team, while Erwan Pouliquen works directly with the 8-way team. The NSL News asked him first for feedback regarding the performance... (more)

News Article Did you know that Airspeed Odyssey leaves the 4-way field in the dust?
posted: Oct 26th, 2005 The 4-way Open competition has also found its best team in the world at the moment. Nobody really questions after the completion of six rounds that Airspeed Odyssey with Eliana Rodriguez, Craig Girard, Andy Delk, Brian Johnson and Will Pesek on camera will win the competition. Odyssey has posted the highest scores in each round except round two, and it would be no surprise if it continued that way. The Airspeed team is in the middle of a dream competition, which reminds on the performance of the French 4-way team Maubeuge in Gap 2003, the Golden Knights at the USPA Nationals in 2002 or DeLand... News Article Did you know that the Lady Birds quietly continue with their progression?
posted: Oct 25th, 2005 The competition in the 4-way Women category has offered the tight competition as it was hoped for. It seemed like it would be the expected 2-way race between Perris Synchronicity and France LaPalisse/Maubeuge throughout the first day of 4-way competition on Monday. These two teams were tied after three rounds. However, the Russian Lady Birds had already caught the NSL News attention earlier after they had moved slowly and quietly closer to the top level of the all-female 4-way competition in the world. The Russian team was only three points behind USA and France at the end of the first day,... (more)
News Article Did you know that Russia has recovered in 8-way?
posted: Oct 25th, 2005 Today's 8-way competition was a copy of yesterday's three rounds, at least between Arizona Airspeed and France LaPalisse/Maubeuge. There was only a very little difference that might still become a psychological advantage for the US team. Yesterday France won one round, today Airspeed did not give up any of the three rounds. It still ended up with only a 1-point difference between the two top contenders for rounds four, five and six. However, Airspeed was able to add one point to the lead and will go into round seven tomorrow with a 2-point advantage. Both teams are experienced enough to know... (more)
News Article Did you know that Mirror image won over memory in round three?
posted: Oct 25th, 2005 The first day of the FAI World Cup 2005 and its three rounds in each event did not bring any extraordinary surprises. The 8-way event has already been looked at after the completion of the three rounds on Monday morning. The 8-way teams will also begin the competition on Tuesday morning. The 4-way Open competition has all the teams on the top of the leaderboard, which were expected to contend for the FAI medals in Eloy. Only the Russian team Skylight-Barkli fell too far behind for a serious chance for medals. A total of four point deductions in the three rounds was too much damage for the Russian... (more)
