News Article Did you know that the NSL News observed 4-way competitors swooping on the beach last Saturday?
posted: Jan 8th, 2007 The NSL News went on an excursion last weekend. Chris Hayes, who has managed the swooping competition of SkyQuest since 2004, had put together an event at a beach site in Melbourne Beach, Florida. Team Fastrax, Selection.com and Performance Designs supported the project, and the NSL News was interested to see the results fo the intense event preparation. Several 4-way competitors competed at the beach swooping competition, as well, and the NSL News had the opportunity to observe their performances in a different environment. (more)
News Article Did you know that Canada's team Evolution turns into a complete family operation this year?
posted: Jan 5th, 2007 The NSL News story on August 7, 2005 (Archives > 2005 > News > search: Evolution), introduced the Canadian national 4-way team Evolution. The French Canadians from NouvelAir in the Montreal/Quebec area, with Martin Lemay (Inside Center), Michel Lemay (Outside Center), Vincent Lemay (Point), Francois Pigeon (Tail) and Peter Toutoudakis (Camera) in the line-up, had just won the Canadian Nationals 2005, as the NSL News story on August 1, 2005, had already reported. News Article Did you know that Claire "Sparky" Scott has joined Bodyflight Storm?
posted: Jan 4th, 2007 The NSL News continues with updates from Great Britain. Tuesday's story included an article in The Times on-line edition, which provided new information of the British 4-way world champion team in the female category, Airkix. The NSL News story mentioned a change in the Airkix line-up. New updates were now provided directly from the team and also from former team member Claire "Sparky" Scott. The NSL News will begin with her new situation and the team that she has become a member of, Bodyflight Storm. The next update will introduce the new member of Airkix. (more)
News Article Did you know that Mass Defiance meet videos have been added to the NSL-TV page?
posted: Jan 3rd, 2007 More competition jumps of the USPA Nationals 2006 have been added to the NSL-TV page of the event. New England Skydiving League team Mass Defiance has instantly caught up with the other teams. Round 9 has been added to the currently featured videos, and Rounds 1 - 8 are also available for viewings at the NSL-TV page. Mass Defiance caught the NSL News attention several times in 2006. The first story on January 19, 2006, introduced the team and its plans to re-initiate the New England Skydiving League. Mass Defiance followed through and gave the league in the northeastern part of the country... (more)
News Article Did you know that a news article from Great Britain reveals an Airkix personnel change?
posted: Jan 2nd, 2007 Competitors from the United Kingdom brought a recent article in the on-line edition of a major British newspaper, The Times, to attention of the NSL News. The article features Airkix member Emma Beyer, who won the IPC gold medals with her team in the female 4-way category at the World Meet 2006 (Archives > 2006 > Leagues > Special Events). The NSL News has covered the British all-female team Airkix several times in the past. The article in The Times points out Emma Beyer's position with Airkix and more of her other skydiving activities. (more)
News Article Did you know that the top of the leaderboard got much tighter in Round 9?
posted: Dec 31st, 2006 The situation on the top of the AAA/Open Class leaderboard at the USPA Nationals 2006 became more interesting when the faster rounds of the second competition day came up. Round 9 (J-L-Q-P-18) was already shaking up the leaderboard for the first time, even though no changes of the rankings were visible yet. In fact, the rankings of the AAA/Open Class after Round 9 were still identical with the order at the end of the first competition day after seven rounds.
