posted: Sep 1st, 2004 Due to the technical problems after Mother Nature's assault on Florida and the NSL office, the NSL-TV fell a little bit behind. The Texas Skydiving League coverage has already been updated after the weather break. It was now time to upload the next round of the last Southwest Skydiving League meet, as well. Synchronicity, the U.S. national 4-way team of the Women's Class presents the sequence of the AAA Class competition (J-16-O-19). News Article Did you know that France Maubeuge scored a new world record at the French National Championship 2004?
posted: Aug 31st, 2004 The French national head coach, Jerome David, kindly provided the NSL News with insights after the conclusion of the French National Championship 2004. The event took place on July 31 - August 5 in Vannes, France. It included all skydiving disciplines and attracted 39 4-way teams in two different competition classes and seven 8-way teams in the Formation Skydiving events. News Article Did you know that the remaining NSL SkyVenture Competition results of the August 14 and 21 weekends are posted?
posted: Aug 30th, 2004 The August 14 weekend had teams from Florida, Virginia, the Northwest and Midwest competing. It was hurricane Charley's weekend in Florida, and only DeLand Scape managed to complete two rounds on a vacated drop zone in DeLand after the Florida Skydiving Center in Lake Wales was severely damaged. The teams in Virginia could also complete only two rounds, which left the SkyVenture tunnel time available only for the eligible teams from the Northwest and Midwest. (more)
News Article Did you know that Sinapsi PD scored 20.7 at the Italian Championship 2004?
posted: Aug 30th, 2004 13 teams attended the Italian Championship 2004 in the Intermediate 4-way class, while 10 teams competed in the Open Class. The names of the winning teams are familiar ones. The winner of the Intermediate Class competition, Fast & Furious, competed as a guest team at the NSL 4-way competition of SkyQuest 2003. F&F finished with a 6.8 average at Fantasy of Flight last November and took the first place in Italy in August with an 11.2 average. It was no surprise that Sinapsi PD won the Open Class competition. News Article Did you know that the NSL News begins the recovery with a new round of NSL-TV?
posted: Aug 30th, 2004 The NSL office is now fully operational again. Computers are fixed, internet connections and networks are functional - time to catch up. There is a lot of new information that has been waiting for delivery to the valued NSL audience. Unfortunately, the same successful recovery did not happen at the Florida Skydiving Center in Lake Wales where the drama continues. News Article Did you know that the Florida Skydiving League has scheduled a make-up event in Lake Wales for this weekend?
posted: Aug 24th, 2004 It was a bizarre week for the NSL headquarters in DeLand, Florida. Hurricane Charley left a devastating trail on its way across the state, which included the DeLand area. Skydive DeLand was without electricity for days, homes of local skydivers were without water and air condition for several days. However, the NSL office, which is located very close to the airport, did not have any problems at all with Charley. The weather strike came with a delay for the NSL. When most of the victims of the hurricane had recovered, the building with the home of the NSL was struck by lightning last Friday,... (more)
