posted: Aug 2nd, 2002 Russia has a history of hosting first-class international Formation Skydiving competitions that did not only begin with the FAI World Meet 2010 in Menzelinsk, now followed by the FAI Mondial Tanay 2020. The series of Malevsky Cup events began in 2002. FAI/IPC eventually recognized the Malevsky Cup as a "First Category Event", on the same level as world meets and world cups, as the NSL News reported on 4 March 2004. SDC Rhythm XP's change in the lineup was the most recent breaking news, and the latest event update came from Europe, where the ESL Championship was finally canceled and rescheduled for 2021. posted: Jun 14th, 2002 The NSL News continues with steps into the 4-way history and the archives with previously unpublished stories and information. Once again, the update from June 2002 relates to current events. Interestingly, the conversation with Golden Knights team captain John Hoover in June 2002 was also recorded via the internet, just as many of the current NSL Live Talk sessions had to take place on the Zoom platform, due to the corona virus crisis. posted: May 3rd, 2002 The connection between the recent 8-way aftermath story of Veloce QRF at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship and the next NSL News interview from the unpublished archives is once again pure coincidence. The next visit in the NSL News office after Joey Jones' in February 2002 happened after a training camp of the DeLand Norgies in May 2002. The three FAI medal winners of 2001 (Airspeed Vertical, France, DeLand Norgies) all decided to come back and compete for the next set of gold medals in 2003. posted: Feb 27th, 2002 The book "Mental Training For Skydiving And Life" by John J. DeRosalia has been available in the NSL Shop for many years. It is the only known expert literature about skydiving in book form, while there is an unlimited amount of unrelated scientific sport psychology literature that always requires "translation" into "skydiving leanguage".
