posted: Nov 4th, 2004 The fifth and final meet of the Texas Skydiving League 2004 season was held October 30th-31st. For the second time this year, Skydive Spaceland hosted a highly efficient meet. This meet had 12 teams in attendance with most of the usual suspects and a few new faces. The AAA Class was made up of Dallas Thunder, Touch–N-Go, Dallas Tantrum and Mischief. Dallas Cyclone and SHEK were in attendance as guest teams for the AAA Class. In the AA Class, Avalanche, Pinky V, 4 of a Kind, and 4 Fun were all once again in attendance from across Texas. News Article Did you know that Texas completed the 2004 season with the fastest draw and the highest scores?
posted: Nov 2nd, 2004 Twelve teams competed at the fifth and last meet of the Texas Skydiving League 2004 season. The event was also the TSL Championship 2004 and the last competition of all leagues in the country this year. Only the NSL Championship at SkyQuest 2004 is still to come on November 19 - 21 at Fantasy of Flight. The TSL teams received a warm welcome at Skydive Spaceland with the fastest competition draw of the 2004 season. posted: Oct 27th, 2004 The NSL Championship 2004 will once again be the most competitive event of SkyQuest 2004. The NSL News will soon introduce the already registered teams and offer insights. However, the SkyQuest atmosphere has still always been very casual, and the teams competed for NSL trophies, medals and the last scores of the season while enjoying the best and most exciting facilities of any skydiving event in the world. News Article Did you know that the SkyQuest 2004 website has become more active?
posted: Oct 26th, 2004 The SkyQuest website is quite silent for most of the year. However, the information gets updated when the event comes closer. Some contents of previous events remain on the website, others are being replaced. SkyQuest 2004, including the NSL Championship, is now close enough for more recent updates. The SkyQuest website has already been offering on-line sign-up procedures for this year's event for a while. Special offers for hotel accommodation with special rates were added. The event schedule gave participants and visitors an overview of the activities. (more)
News Article Did you know that Excalibur was celebrated in DeLand last weekend?
posted: Oct 20th, 2004 The DeLand skydiving community once again organised a homecoming celebration for DeLand Majik last weekend. Location was the "Perfect Spot", drop zone restaurant at Skydive DeLand. This time, the party was very special since it included the presentation of "Excalibur", the IPC trophy for the 4-way and 8-way world champions. News Article Did you know that Kid Pink and Mr. Purple committed to the ultimate team last weekend?
posted: Oct 18th, 2004 The NSL audience may have noticed that the name of a 4-way team with one of the longest traditions in the country did not appear on any scoreboard this year. Mr. Pink from Georgia set the team priorities differently this year. The main team event took place last weekend near Atlanta. Jennifer Gruwell, alias Kid Pink and Glen Hauenstein, alias Mr. Purple, got married. Missing Pink scores in 2004 does not mean that the team has completely disbanded. In fact, the wedding ceremony at Kid Pink's parents' house in Powder Springs, Georgia, included Pink guests from all over the country. Mr. Pink's... (more)
