posted: Aug 11th, 2004 The Southwest Skydiving League registered record participation last weekend in Perris when 18 teams competed at the fifth SSL meet of the regular 2004 season. The scores are posted, and they are impressive. Arizona Blade continued the team's consistent scoring progression (13.7 - 15.3 - 16.8 - 17.7) at the team's fourth SSL 2004 competition. The U.S. national team in the Women's Class, Synchronicity, attended the first competition this year with the same line-up as in 2003 and seems to be ready for the next challenge at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving in September in Croatia. Did you know that new scores from the UK Nationals and Austria are posted?
posted: Aug 10th, 2004 The July 31 meet weekend was the first one this year when the National Skydiving League and the European Skydiving League did not synchronize the competition draw. Timing and communication did not work out as usual, and both leagues had different sequences for the meets on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. The Great Lakes, Carolina and Georgia Skydiving Leagues competed in the USA, while the British Parachute Association (BPA) held their national championship and the Austrian Skydiving League its third meet of the 2004 season. Did you know that Hayabusa won the Belgian national championship?
posted: Aug 9th, 2004 The Belgian team Hayabusa was already selected earlier this year as the national team at one of the Belgium Skydiving Trophy (BST) events in June. The NSL News had covered the Hayabusa competition with the Belgian Army team NMPV/Pushing Air in 2003/2004 and the qualification event in June. Hayabusa could now take the actual Belgian championship event easy since there was no serious competition left. The Belgian Nationals took place at the end of July, and teams competed in three competition classes. The competition draw was not available. Did you know that round two of the Texas Skydiving League is now on NSL-TV?
posted: Aug 9th, 2004 The second round of the TSL July meet was difficult for the AAA and AA Class teams. Rave, the winner of the NSL SkyVenture Competition that weekend, presents the AAA Class sequence of this round (22-5-O). The Dallas team with Jim Walker, Lou Massie, Roland Hicks, Mariann Kramer and Sean Ralls managed to get through the challenging sequence for a score of 12 points in time, which tied Dallas Thunder in this round. Did you know that DeLand celebrated Majik's homecoming Wednesday night?
posted: Aug 6th, 2004 Wednesday was the first day for all five DeLand Majik members back in their hometown in Florida. Majik fans close to the team were aware of this late homecoming after the Majik success at the Malevsky Cup 2004 almost five weeks ago. The local fan club had prepared a surprise party for the team members at the "Perfect Spot", Skydive DeLand's drop zone restaurant. It was almost exactly one year ago when the same party took place at the same spot and for the same reason. Many local skydivers and industry representatives visited Skydive DeLand to celebrate Majik's victory at the the Malevsky Cup... (more)
