Did you know that the field of teams for the World Challenge 2013 keeps growing? posted: Jan 29th, 2013 Pre-registration for the World Challenge 2013, with the opportunity of saving £50, is still open for a few more days, while many teams prepare for the start of the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2013 this weekend. February 1 is the deadline for Bedford before the signup fee goes back up to £350 per team.
The field of currently registered teams for the biggest indoor 4way competition in the world is as exciting as it has been in the past years, from top to bottom. Did you know that new Rhythm member Mikhail Markine is an even younger skydiver than team mate Steve Lefkowitz? posted: Jan 28th, 2013 The first bigger meet of the 2013 season is coming up this weekend, the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2013.
The 4way fans will have the opportunity to check out the new Arizona Airspeed lineup, with special attention to Chris Farina in the Point slot.
SDC Rhythm XP is not competing with the full lineup, as Christy Frikken is not available at the season opener. XL member Brian Johnson is taking her slot in Raeford.
However, new Rhythm member Mikhail Markine will fly the Tail slot for the first time in a competition with his new team. He will surely draw as much attention as Chris Farina.

Did you know that 8way teams have three new blocks and one new random formation in the dive pool? posted: Jan 27th, 2013 The NSL News reported from the Mondial Dubai 2012 on 22 December 2012 that Trude Sviggum, Chair of IPC's Formation Skydiving committee and Polaris member, had invited IPC delegates, judges and competitors to join the open discussion that traditionally follows every World Meet or World Cup.
Trude Sviggum had just won her third medal for Norway at a World Championship of Formation Skydiving (Silver with 14.4 in 2001 and with 16.2 in 2003, Bronze with 17.8 in Dubai). She is one of the longest standing 4way competitors in the sport and has seen all changes of the rules in the same time period. She... (more)
Did you know that the Egyptian Goddess of the Air goes after World Meet medals in 2014? posted: Jan 26th, 2013 Teams from the United Kingdom dominated the 4way competition in the female category for quite a few years. Claire Scott, Sarah Laughton, Sacha Chilion and Kate Stephens won the first test event at the World Meet in Australia 1999. Claire Scott, Sarah Laughton and Sacha Chilion followed up four years later and won the first official FAI/IPC gold medals for the United Kingdom at the Mondial 2003 in Gap. Brian Vacher was filming V-Max.
The ladies from the UK then went into hibernation, and the US team took back the top position in 2004 that Synchronicity with Eliana Rodriguez had in Spain 2001.... (more)
