posted: Aug 1st, 2011 It's a beautiful morning in Saarlouis-Duren, Germany, and the World Cup 2011 is on its way. The first DO 28 loads took off at 8 AM, and the teams are set in order of the expected ranking, according to the last FAI/IPC results. The first NSL-TV video clip goes back to yesterday's official opening briefing with the competition draw. It was done live on stage and in front of the teams and competitors, as the NSL News reported yesterday. The video begins with a closer look at the British headquarters in Tent City. News Article Did you know that Golden Knights and Brit Chicks are on NSL-TV first time?
posted: Aug 1st, 2011 It's getting closer to the real thing. The latest video clip is showing four teams in action with official training jumps that were made at the World Challenge 2011 today. NSL-TV picked the videos of the Brit Chicks and the female lineup of the Golden Knights since these two teams have never been shown on NSL-TV so far. In fact, the recent story of the Golden Knights and their expected position in the female 4way competition made it even more interesting to see how the team is performing in freefall. posted: Aug 1st, 2011 The NSL Talk with Joey Jones is next. He was studying the scoreboards at the World Cup 2011 when the NSL News found him. He seemed to like the meet setup, logistics and facilities that the German organizers have provided. This place is ready for a great meet. He only did not like the German weather so far and went the other direction in trying to beat the conditions. Most people here try to keep it quiet about the World Meet 2006 in Germany. News Article Did you know that NSL-TV takes the audience on a DZ sightseeing tour?
posted: Aug 1st, 2011 It's time for a little sightseeing tour for the NSL News audience who cannot enjoy the World Cup 2011 live at the competition site in Saarlouis-Duren. The video clip begins at the hotel where many of the participants are accommodated. It is actually a 10-minute walk through the wilderness from the dropzone to get to the hotel, and many take advantage of the short distance. Skydivers can see the hotel under open parachute, and hotel guests can look down at the landing action. The NSL-TV camera resumes the sightseeing tour at the dropzone. The clip begins with the most important person of the event. Helmut Bastuck, Managing Director of the German skydiving federation, is also the Chief of the Organizing Committee, and he has been a very busy man. posted: Jul 31st, 2011 The rainiest summer in Germany, ever since archiving of weather data was started in 1945, continues to keep the skydivers on the ground in Merseburg. It's time to break camp in this part of Germany and move to sunnier areas. Saarlouis, hosting site of the World Cup 2011, seems to be a much better place for skydiving these days...
