posted: Jul 26th, 2011 The NSL News mentioned in earlier stories how the United Kingdom is on the move to become one of the powerhouses of Formation Skydiving competition in the world. The UK delegation for the World Cup 2011 is one of the biggest and consists of four 4way teams (Sonicnutz, Escondido, Unagi and Bodyflight Aerodyne) and one 8way team (Brit Chicks). News Article Did you know that the Danish Nationals 2011 featured two exciting battles?
posted: Jul 26th, 2011 The NSL News reported on 20 May 2011 that the Danish Nationals 2011 would feature an interesting challenge of the national 4-way team Bodyflight Voluntas by former national competitors in the VolDaneZ lineup. It turned out that there was actually a second even more exciting battle at the same event. It took place between the other two national teams, Bodyflight Atlas and Bodyflight Factum. Voluntas mastered the challenge by VolDaneZ very well and won by six points. A total of 11 teams competed in Canada's Open (4) and Advanced Class (5), two additional female lineups had their own leaderboard. The NSL News had reported on 7 July 2011 that Canada's national 4-way team Evolution was aiming at winning both the traditional 4-way competition and also this year's 4-way VFS event. News Article Did you know that Germany wins silver in Brazil without a jump-off?
posted: Jul 24th, 2011 The CISM Championship in Brazil is over, and the results of Round 8 did not change the rankings after the semifinal Round 7. It became quite exciting though, as the NSL News had mentioned at the last update. The official scores show that the Golden Knights outscored Germany by three points in the last round, which tied the total number of points between the two silver medal contenders. Both teams had to get ready for a jump-off. However, André Ferraz reported bad weather from Brazil on the last day of the competition, and the jump-off had to be canceled. posted: Jul 23rd, 2011 Last weekend's large leaderboard also included two different Teiwaz lineups. One was attending the second summer heat meet in Sebastian, while Teiwaz North competed at the Karp Cup at Cross Keys. Cherie and Karl Schuch, Teiwaz members of many years now, accepted two new members, Marty Schneider and Rob Fields. Both have been active 4-way competitors at local, regional and national competitions for a long time. posted: Jul 23rd, 2011 A quick update from Brazil shows that the Golden Knights used the semifinal round to get closer to Germany. NSL News correspondent in Brazil, CTR Optimum member André Ferraz, added that Golden Knights and Germany have a jump-off round, which means that both teams must have been tied after the final Round 8. The scores for Round 8 are not officially posted yet and will be added later. The X-Dogs had to accept that Switzerland eventually took the 4th place.
