News Article Did you know that Block 13 will probably lose an arrow in 2008?
posted: Dec 19th, 2007 The 2007 season is coming to an end, it is time to look forward to the events of next year and prepare the foundation for a successful new skydiving season. The International Parachuting Commission (IPC) is in charge of the rules for the sport. Max Bishop, Secretary General of the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI) has once again invited the IPC delegates of each nation to attend the annual meeting in January. News Article Did you know that Hayabusa Defence works together with Craig Girard?
posted: Dec 18th, 2007 The NSL News updates that covered the Belgian national 4-way team, Hayabusa Defence, were on a peak this year when the team won the FAI World Cup 2007 in August, and then again during the CISM Military World Games in October. Team speaker Roy Janssen wrapped up the story of another success with his feedback for the NSL News on 24 October 2007. Then it became quiet around Hayabusa Defence, as the team's 2007 season was over. News Article Did you know that more videos of the Optic Nerve - Teiwaz showdown have been uploaded?
posted: Dec 17th, 2007 The videos of two more rounds of the 4-way showdown between Optic Nerve and Teiwaz at SkyQuest 2007 have been uploaded. The last story of the same meet coverage on 30 November 2007 mentioned that Round 2 was a challenge for AAA Class newcomer Nick Grillet, with memory and a slot switcher. Block 3 (Side Flake Opal - Turf) caused a similar situation in Round 3, but Teiwaz used an engineering option that brought everybody back to the top of the page. (more)
News Article Did you know that Italy doesn't accept double-duties in 2008?
posted: Dec 14th, 2007 Italy still does not have a new national 4-way team. The NSL News story on 8 November 2007 provided the last update of the situation in Italy where the 4-way community is still in motion. The November story explained that the Eutelia Spin Team, winner of the Italian Nationals 2007, had split up. Two team members were motivated to move on and were rejected by their association, the FIPaS Bureau of the Italian skydiving federation. News Article Did you know that the NSL News interviewed Chris Needels before he retired?
posted: Dec 13th, 2007 It is not a secret that the Unites States Parachute Association (USPA) has been working on hiring a new Executive Director for quite a while. Chris Needels has had this position for 14 years and announced his plan to retire a while ago. The December issue of USPA's Parachutist officially introduced the new Executive Director, Ed Scott, who has already worked for USPA for 11 years as a the Director of Government Relations. News Article Did you know that the PD Factory Team provides insights from the World Cup?
posted: Dec 12th, 2007 The NSL News story on 13 November 2007 reported that the PD Factory Team swept the overall event of the Canopy Piloting World Cup 2007 in Australia. Jonathan Tagle and Ian Bobo, both reigning 4-way world champions with DeLand Fire, placed 2nd and 3rd, while Jason Moledzki won the gold medal. The article of the NSL News covered the event from the perspective of the 4-way community.
