Did you know that the Carolina Skydiving League opens the 2009 season again with an indoor meet? posted: Feb 6th, 2009 The Carolina Skydiving League begins the 2009 season the same way as last year, with a windtunnel competition. This time, the Carolina Skydiving League and Paraclete XP support the "Jump for the Cause" project with the event, which is scheduled for February 21.
The event includes a 4-way tunnel training camp for competitors with limited tunnel experience and a 4-way competition for all CASL competition classes (AAA, AA and Rookie). There will also be a 2-way VRW competition for novice and intermediates. (more)
Did you know that Dutch teams prepare for the 2009 season? posted: Feb 5th, 2009 The NSL News has already covered quite a few countries with the plans for the 2009 season. Now it is time for an update from the Netherlands, one of the first nations in Europe that joined the 4-way network of the National and the European Skydiving League. Former 4-way world champion with DeLand Majik and DeLand Fire, Gary Smith, has moved to the Netherlands and keeps the NSL News informed on a regular basis.

Did you know that a German 4-way and 8-way competitor has deleloped a scientific test program for parachutes? posted: Feb 4th, 2009 Dr. Ulrich "Uli" Sehrbrock has been a member of several German national 8-way lineups, mostly with his FSC Remscheid skydiving club, for many years. He is one of the longest standing and most passionate Formation Skydiving competitors in the sport. He has recently switched back to his favorite event, 4-way competition, where he has been training and competing with his new X-Ray Remscheid lineup since the beginning of the 2008 season.

Did you know that Brian Ball is Arizona Divewerkz' new Center Inside? posted: Feb 3rd, 2009 It was a coincidence that the NSL News had just posted an update on 30 January 2009 covering SDC Rhythm XP when other news arrived that related to the same topic.
The new update came from Arizona where the NSL News has followed Arizona Divewerkz on the team's way from the first year in the Southwest Skydiving League to becoming the best "amateur team" in the USA in 2008.
SDC Rhythm and Arizona Divewerkz have a few things in common. Both teams have won USPA's Advanced Class gold medals, AZDW in 2006, Rhythm in 2008, both teams continued in the Open Class, and both teams were looking for a... (more)
Did you know that there are no changes of the dive pool in 2009? posted: Feb 2nd, 2009 The NSL News has covered the changes of the dive pool over the years several times. The last stories related to the topic were posted on December 11 and 16 of 2008 (Archives > 2008 > News > Search for "dive pool") and mentioned that the dive pool for the 2009 season would be set at the IPC Meeting in February. The meeting in Sweden was concluded last weekend, and the details will be published soon.

Did you know that Kaktus Hunter has higher goals for the 2009 season? posted: Feb 1st, 2009 The NSL News reported on 7 January 2009 that the Russian team Kaktus Hunter has already signed up for the World Challenge 2009. It will be the third time that Kaktus Hunter will compete at the indoor competition at Bodyflight Bedford.
Egor Gusev (Inside Center), Andrei Kharitonov (Outside Center), Katya Kharitonova (Point) and Anna Panasyuk (Tail) started out with a 16.6 average at the World Challenge 2007 and pumped the performance and scoring level up to a 22.2 average last year.
