Did you know that more former 4-way juniors won outdoor medals in France? posted: Sep 26th, 2023 The two French national teams in 4-way Open and 4-way Women did not have much time either after the completion of the 23rd FAI World Cup of Formation Skydiving at Skydive Voss in Norway before they were back in action at their national outdoor championship in Gap.
They had less than two weeks to get ready for the next competition and a new 10-round draw. The 4-way teams at the outdoor world cup in Norway had to master nine blocks at the beginning of the ten competition sequences, as the NSL News reported on August 21st.

Did you know that four Airspeed members each won three USPA gold medals? posted: Sep 25th, 2023 The 10-way Speed competition concluded once again the Formation Skydiving part of this year's USPA Nationals. It was the event that had generated the biggest surprise and upset of the whole competition in October 2022. Last year's lineup with only three Arizona Airspeed members (Joey Marshall, Niklas Hemlin, Brendan Haddon on camera), three XP8 world champions (Michelle Karamon, Jeana Billings, Kirk Verner), plus Steve Lefkowitz, Ben Liston, Rodney Cruce, Keith Conner, James Klinge and Josh Hall had two rounds with the maximum time of 35 seconds and ended up in 3rd place.

Did you know that 76 male and 48 female competitors were in front of the 4-way cameras in Norway? posted: Sep 25th, 2023 The combined AAA Class leaderboard at USPA Nationals is a different one compared to FAI/ISC events. Teams in 4-way Open and 4-way Advanced have their own leaderboards and sets of USPA medals, even though they use the same competition draw. There is no separation of teams with all-female lineups in the United States. The qualification as the U.S. national team in 4-way Women is embedded in the 4-way Open Class competition.
Combined AAA Class leaderboards at FAI/ISC events allow the integration of teams in 4-way Women on the 4-way Open Class leaderboard, as both categories apply the same competition... (more)
Did you know that Open Class team Rippon Flatties experimented with a jumpsuit design? posted: Sep 23rd, 2023 The 4-way Advanced Class teams at the USPA Nationals 2023 had the unique opportunity this year to set a new record average for this category. The teams in the Open and Advanced Class categories are using the same competition draw, even though they have their own and separate leaderboards.
The same Super Sequence that the 4-way Open Class teams performed in the meet opener (O,E,C,Q,H) was also Round 1 for the 15 Advanced Class teams. However, the NSL News update on September 19th mentioned that the combination of a Super Sequence and the first round of a competition creates a challenging situation... (more)
Did you know that the GKXPAZ 16-way combination won each of the six rounds? posted: Sep 22nd, 2023 The NSL News mentioned earlier that the 4-way participation at the USPA Nationals 2023 was significantly higher than last year (56 - 48). It was similar in 8-way where 23 teams exceeded the participation at Skydive Chicago (19). In fact, the total of 23 teams in the three 8-way categories this week were only outscored by the 24 U.S. teams at the same place in 2019, and they tied the 23 U.S. teams in Perris 2017, Eloy 2016 and 2015.
Eight 16-way teams also created a new record number in this event since 2000, with two more teams than in 2022. Only the first three years after the introduction... (more)
Did you know that Apex make plans for the next outdoor world championship? posted: Sep 21st, 2023 Teams and competitors at the USPA Nationals 2023 have turned to the 16-way event, where the combination of Arizona Airspeed, GKXP8 and XPG4, with two outsiders (Steve Lefkowitz, Doug Barron), dominate the leaderboard the same way as they did in 4-way and 8-way.
