They did not allow any other team to get anywhere close to their highscores in the following nine rounds and still finished with the highest outdoor average that the current lineup has posted so far. The two teams who had outscored the 4-way world champions in Round 1, SDC Rhythm XP and XPG4, had a few of their own point deductions in the same Super Sequence and then followed up with their battle for the positions behind Arizona Airspeed. posted: Sep 19th, 2023 The story of the 4-way Super Sequence in Round 1 at the USPA Nationals 2023 began on Sunday evening during the opening ceremony at the end of the day. Meet Director Randy Connell and Chief Judge Judy Celaya handed out copies of the competition draw to the team captains after the welcome briefing for the 56 teams. The participation was significantly higher than last year when 48 teams competed at Skydive Chicago. posted: Sep 17th, 2023 The series of aftermath events behind the 23rd FAI World Cup of Formation Skydiving also included the British Outdoor Nationals 2023, which were held on the weekend when the German Outdoor Nationals 2023 were concluded at the Fallschirmsportzentrum Saar.. Team Apex won the 4-way AAA Class title this month, after the British 4-way champion team of 2022, Chimera, had decided to discontinue after the 5th place at the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2022, as the NSL News reported on January 24th. posted: Sep 14th, 2023 Gary Smith was one of the most successful 4-way competitors in the sport, with two world championship titles of 2004 and 2006 under his belt. He started his career as a coach while he was still competing and has been just as successful with his job. He guided NMP PCH HayaBusa to the team's first world championship title in Prostejov 2014 and helped to defend the 4-way title in 2016, 2018 and 2021. posted: Sep 14th, 2023 The NSL News covered the new combined Belgian/Dutch outdoor championship when the teams had completed eight rounds at Skydive Flanders in Moorsele on September 8th. The competition was not only the combined national championship for teams from Belgian and the Netherlands. The NSL News mentioned in the first update that the two new Qatar teams, Cheetahs and Lions, were also heading to the event to participate as guest teams.
