News Article Did you know that 4-way teams from Texas are regular USPA medal contenders?
posted: Aug 26th, 2021 Teams from Texas have played a major role in U.S. Formation Skydiving competition and have won many medals at USPA Nationals in the past. The Texas Skydiving League was one of the earliest 4-way leagues in the United States, together with Florida and Georgia, and the regular meets were surely instrumental for competitive teams on the way to USPA medals. Texas team Convergence represented the Texas Skydiving League at the first NSL Championship event in 1998, and one of the most experienced Formation Skydiving competitors in the United States, Scott Latinis, is currently offering regular meets... News Article Did you know that the SDC Furies are the only all-female Advanced Class champion team?
posted: Aug 25th, 2021 The next part of the NSL News series that has been covering the USPA Advanced Class champions since the introduction of this category is connecting once again the past with the presence. The last story went back to the USPA Nationals 2008 when SDC Rhythm XP won with a new 16.9 record average. The story pointed out that Rhythm's current outside center, Steve Lefkowitz, competed for the U.S. delegation at the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020 earlier this month. His wife and team mate since 2007, JaNette Lefkowitz, would have competed in Russia, as well, and she only had to withdraw due to recent health... (more)

posted: Aug 23rd, 2021 SDC RhEvolution XP did not only catch the attention of the NSL News after winning the AAA/Advanced Class competition at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2021, even though there was not much competition for the Midwest Skydiving League team in this category. The new lineup was already introduced on 29 November 2020, and the potential was promising. The indoor competition at Paraclete XP was the next step and the first competition for the new lineup, and they followed up with the team's first outdoor meet at the Carolina Skydiving League in May. The new RhEvolution lineup completed all... (more)
News Article Did you know that the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020 was the 4th shortened world meet for 8-way teams?
posted: Aug 21st, 2021 The 8-way competition at the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020 was expected to be the most exciting part of the Formation Skydiving competition events, and it turned out to match the highest expectations. It was a dramatic battle between Airspeed XP8 and France throughout the seven rounds, with a 1-point difference when the meet had to be called. The last preview of the 8-way competition, including the NSL Power Rankings, had considered the Russian 8-way team from Tanay in the middle of the same battle for the gold medals. Unfortunately, Tanay 8 had a slow start into the competition, too slow to stay within... (more)
News Article Did you know that SDC Rhythm XP's Christy Frikken is the highest-placing female 4-way competitor since 2010?
posted: Aug 20th, 2021 All four events at FAI World Championships of Formation Skydiving (4-way Open - 4-way Women - 4-way VFS - 8-way Open) have been using the same numbers and letters for their respective dive pools since the 4-way VFS teams added a few more random formations and blocks to reach the same number as the other three events (22 blocks - 16 random formations). The dive pools are still different and create sequences with different maneuvers and inters, at least between VFS, 8-way and 4-way. However, the sequences are exactly the same and identical between 4-way Open and 4-way Women, which allows direct... (more)
News Article Did you know that German 4-way teams are preparing for their national championships?
posted: Aug 19th, 2021 Eight more teams from Germany finally completed the July outdoor leaderboard. Skydive Paranodon in Illertissen hosted their second 4-way competition this year. The Paranodon Cup 2021 was the comeback event in Germany after the pandemic break, and the seven participating teams had posted their scores on the June leaderboard. The Paranodon Challenge in July was only scheduled as a 3-round competition, and the July rankings had to be adjusted slightly after comparing all scores directly with the total number of points after Round 3. Chimera had the top spot after three rounds, and the British national... (more)
