News Article Did you know that Dennis Praet, Andy and David Grauwels have tied Philippe Schorno and Eric Fradet?
posted: Aug 18th, 2021 Realistically, there was not much of a battle expected in the 4-way Open Class competition of the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020, even though SDC Rhythm XP and Qatar Tigers were both aiming at the gold medal position at the world meet. NMP PCH HayaBusa had prepared their personnel change very carefully, and new inside center Michele Silvi was ready to fill the open slot that David Grauwels left behind when he stepped back to take HayaBusa's camera slot. The new lineup indicated already at the NSL Cloud Mondial 2020 what they would be capable of, and they left Arizona Airspeed, SDC Rhythm XP and Qatar... (more)
News Article Did you know that Aviatrixx explained the details of the lost battle for bronze medals?
posted: Aug 17th, 2021 The battle between Bubbles (Russia) and France for the gold medals in 4-way Women at the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020 was not even as dramatic as the situation right behind the two top contenders, where Aviatrixx (United States) and No Mercy (Poland) were separated by their own two points after six rounds. They competed for the bronze medals, as the British national team NFTO was not present after the complete British Formation Skydiving delegation had canceled the participation. It was already exciting enough to see how the Russian Bubbles upset the three reigning French 4-way Women world champions.... (more)
News Article Did you know that the UK Nationals 2021 may feature a copy of the 3-team battle in 2019?
posted: Aug 16th, 2021 The recent NSL News coverage of the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020 and the previews of the upcoming UK Nationals 2021 are not complete yet. Not only the British 4-way teams, Chimera (4-way Open) and NFTO (4-way Women), missed the world meet. The participation record of British 8-way teams at FAI World Championships of Formation Skydiving is almost as flawless at the ones of the British 4-way teams, who had never missed an event until this year. British 8-way teams have attended all world meets since 1985 except for the one in Menzelinsk 2010. Microclim8 finished 4th in Australia 2018 with a 15.2... (more)
News Article Did you know that NFTO members discussed the world meet shortly after the award ceremony in Tanay?
posted: Aug 14th, 2021 The award ceremony in Tanay was barely completed when three members of the British national team (Anna Hicks, Sian Stokes, Julia Swallow) were ready to discuss the 4-way Women competition at the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020 with new NSL Live Talk. The time at the competition site is seven hours ahead of the clock in the United Kingdom, and the U.S. audience is additional four hours behind. The NSL News has covered the situation of the British national teams and the withdrawal from the event comprehensively, and yesterday's update from the United Kingdom from the Chimera perspective also included NFTO. Following... (more)
News Article Did you know that the British national teams focus on their national championships instead?
posted: Aug 13th, 2021 Nothing happened on Friday at the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020. The weather did not allow the jump planes to drop any of the Formation Skydiving teams for a single competition jump or even a whole round. Saturday is the last competition day, and the finish line has already been pushed to 18.00 in the afternoon. It is still possible to complete all ten meet rounds, while it requires much better weather than on Friday. The next round might be the last one in each event, or the current standings could even be the final ones. The British national teams shifted their focus towards their national championships... News Article Did you know that the French double-duties became heavier work on Thursday?
posted: Aug 12th, 2021 The NSL News headlined the update from the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020 on August 10th with the fact that the smallest world meet in the history of the sport is still generating a very exciting competition. The previews of the event had indicated that this situation would most likely occur in Tanay, and it materialized as soon as the competition began. There was not much movement on the 4-way Open Class leaderboard, where things turned out as expected after Round 5. However, the leaderboards in 8-way Open and 4-way Women featured the same battles of the previews in real life, which was after Round... (more)
