The NSL News pointed out long ago that the 8-way competition could become the most exciting battle in the history of the event.
In the 8-way case, even the implications of the corona virus crisis have not changed anything, as the same four 8-way top contenders will be present in Russia and compete for the three sets of FAI world championship medals.

Did you know that 11 teams are in the NSL 4-way Open Class Power Rankings for the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020? posted: Aug 5th, 2021 Round 1 of the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020 is scheduled for Tuesday morning (August 10th), and another withdrawal had to be registered just a week before the start of the competition. The Czech national team in 4-way Open, Flying Circus, needed Jan Klapka to fill the point slot last week at the national outdoor championships due to an injury of original team member Dagmar Bezdeková, and the team decided to withdraw.
The total number of 4-way Open Class teams is down to eleven, which is the lowest number in the history of FAI World Championships of Formation Skydiving since 1985. The FAI World Meet... (more)
Did you know that six Texas Skydiving League teams completed the July leaderboard? posted: Aug 4th, 2021 Six more teams from Texas completed the NSL July leaderboard, which is now featuring a total of 27 teams in the four NSL outdoor categories (AAA - AA - A - RRR).
Two of the teams on the AAA Class leaderboard in July are actually national teams who will also compete for their countries at the upcoming FAI Tanay Mondial 2021. The AAA Class leader, British national team in 4-way Open Chimera, were planning to compete in Russia, as well. Did you know that three former USPA Advanced Class champions compete at the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020 next week? posted: Aug 3rd, 2021 The NSL News series of USPA's 4-way Advanced Class history featured the gold medalist of 2007, Perris Aftermath, on July 23rd. The same story also pointed out that the USPA Nationals 2007 was the beginning of a 4-way fairytale in the United States at the same time, which comes to one of its peaks very soon in Tanay, Russia.

Did you know that Jan and Jakub Klapka joined Flying Circus forces again? posted: Aug 3rd, 2021 It was in 2016 when father Jan and son Jakub Klapka competed together for the first and the last time - until the most recent 4-way competition in the Czech Republic. The Czech Outdoor Nationals brought them back together in the same lineup.
Jan Klapka's Bad Boys were training and competing together even before he launched the Czech Skydiving League in 2005 and later added the Czech Tunnel League and Indoor Cloud League events to the monthly activities for Czech 4-way teams and competitors.

Did you know that Echochamber have a big decision to make at the end of August? posted: Aug 1st, 2021 Sweden had another comeback in skydiving competition, even though it was as small as can be. Two teams showed up for the national championships in July, and the new Echochamber lineup had no problem with defending the national 4-way title.
Three of the Scandinavian countries (Denmark, Norway, Sweden) came back this year with their national championships, after only Denmark and Norway held their events in 2020. Finland had the last outdoor competition with 4-way teams in 2018. All Scandinavian countries have withdrawn from participation at the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020.
