News Article Did you know that the United Kingom Skydiving League launched the 2010 season with record participation?
posted: May 30th, 2010 The British Parachute Association (BPA) has a new representative for Formation Skydiving. Richard Head continues the great work that Martin Soulsby and Andy Scott have been doing for the sport in the past years. Richard "Tricky" Head has been and is still an active 4-way competitor as a member of UK team Phobia. The NSL News has covered the team's consistent progression through the competition classes on a regular basis. Phobia was formed in 2006 and started 4-way competition in the Rookie Class. News Article Did you know that the first multi-event weekend of 2010 is coming up?
posted: May 21st, 2010 The upcoming weekend will feature the first multi-event leaderboard of the 2010 season. Meets are scheduled at five different locations, and the NSL News is on its way to report live on site from the Northern Plains Skydiving League season opener. The Carolina Skydiving League and the Mideast Skydiving League will run their first meets of the 2010 season, as well. The other two meets take place in Italy and the United Kingdom. News Article Did you know that the UK teams had their strongest showing in the AAA Class this time?
posted: Jun 28th, 2009 Last weekend's scores have not been replaced by new results yet, and the NSL News goes back once again to the second busiest meet weekend of the 2009 season. The two European top contenders for the ESL Spirit, Netherlands and United Kingdom, both had their teams in action, as the NSL News story on 23 June 2009 reported. The Dutch team won the weekend as of participation, and three teams from the Netherlands are also still holding the top positions on the leaderboard, Dynamic Fource in the AAA Class, Ignition in the AA Class and Meo in the Rookie Class. News Article Did you know that the UKSL teams had close races in each competition class?
posted: Jun 1st, 2009 The NSL News story on 29 May 2009 mentioned that the coverage of the first 2009 meet of the United Kingom Skydiving League would be resumed soon. Phobia member Richard Head now provided additional information and wrote a meet story for the NSL News: Skydive Weston has a long history with 4-way - six of the medal sets at the UK Nationals 2008 went to teams based there. The first 4-way competition of the UKSL season was no exception with a great turnout of 22 teams. Across the board there was a good mix of new and experienced competitors fighting it out for the first medals of the 2009 season.... (more)
News Article Did you know that Mr. and Mrs. Head competed for the first time in the AAA Class?
posted: May 29th, 2009 The next meet weekend is already coming up, while the NSL News is still trying to catch up with the events of last weekend. The new record number of 86 teams beats the previous NSL highscore of 84 teams on the leaderboard, which was posted on the June 21 weekend last year. The weather was a well contributing factor last weekend. It is actually quite amazing that each of the nine events in the USA and Europe completed all scheduled rounds. News Article Did you know that teams from the United Kingdom are ready for the upcoming multi-event weekend?
posted: May 20th, 2009 The events of the 2009 season have already provided a lot of information, scores, videos and photos, even though it has not even been in full swing yet. It seems as if the upcoming weekend will finally be the real season opener. Ten different 4-way competitions will take place at ten different locations in six different countries. France, Italy, Norway, Czech Republic and United Kingdom kick off their 2009 season with the first outdoor meet of the year. Teams from the Czech Republic and France had already their own indoor competition this year, and teams from several other countries competed... (more)
