Did you know that the UK teams had their strongest showing in the AAA Class this time? posted: Jun 28th, 2009 Last weekend's scores have not been replaced by new results yet, and the NSL News goes back once again to the second busiest meet weekend of the 2009 season. The two European top contenders for the ESL Spirit, Netherlands and United Kingdom, both had their teams in action, as the NSL News story on 23 June 2009 reported.
The Dutch team won the weekend as of participation, and three teams from the Netherlands are also still holding the top positions on the leaderboard, Dynamic Fource in the AAA Class, Ignition in the AA Class and Meo in the Rookie Class. Only the Angry War Lords from Norway were... (more)
Did you know that the UKSL teams had close races in each competition class? posted: Jun 1st, 2009 The NSL News story on 29 May 2009 mentioned that the coverage of the first 2009 meet of the United Kingom Skydiving League would be resumed soon. Phobia member Richard Head now provided additional information and wrote a meet story for the NSL News:
Skydive Weston has a long history with 4-way - six of the medal sets at the UK Nationals 2008 went to teams based there. The first 4-way competition of the UKSL season was no exception with a great turnout of 22 teams. Across the board there was a good mix of new and experienced competitors fighting it out for the first medals of the 2009 season.... (more)
Did you know that Mr. and Mrs. Head competed for the first time in the AAA Class? posted: May 29th, 2009 The next meet weekend is already coming up, while the NSL News is still trying to catch up with the events of last weekend. The new record number of 86 teams beats the previous NSL highscore of 84 teams on the leaderboard, which was posted on the June 21 weekend last year.
The weather was a well contributing factor last weekend. It is actually quite amazing that each of the nine events in the USA and Europe completed all scheduled rounds. Did you know that teams from the United Kingdom are ready for the upcoming multi-event weekend? posted: May 20th, 2009 The events of the 2009 season have already provided a lot of information, scores, videos and photos, even though it has not even been in full swing yet. It seems as if the upcoming weekend will finally be the real season opener.
Ten different 4-way competitions will take place at ten different locations in six different countries. France, Italy, Norway, Czech Republic and United Kingdom kick off their 2009 season with the first outdoor meet of the year. Teams from the Czech Republic and France had already their own indoor competition this year, and teams from several other countries competed... (more)
Did you know that new NSL-TV videos feature teams from Sweden, UK and Ireland? posted: Jun 19th, 2008 The Russian Nationals 2008 are still on a hold after four rounds, and NSL-TV goes back to the May 31 and June 7 meet weekends in the meantime. Both events offered the opportunity to watch videos of two more national teams.
The first competition in Sweden this year on May 31 brought the attention back to a Swedish team that was introduced by the NSL News on 13 February 2008. Blue Spirits had competed at the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2008 and opened the 2008 season with a 13.1 average after ten rounds in DeLand. Did you know that UK team Wingnutz entered the third competition class in three years? posted: Jun 13th, 2008 The NSL News story on 9 June 2008 covered last weekend's competition of the United Kingdom Skydiving League (UKSL) in Netheravon. The first part of the story provided an update of Satori's current situation before additional information of the meet was provided by Chris Hollis, Formation Skydiving representative for the British Parachute Association (BPA).
Videos of the UKSL competition followed the meet information, kindly provided by CamScore, the DZ-TV and judging system that has also covered the World Challenge 2008.
