Did you know that Full Stop does not even slow down? posted: May 6th, 2011 It's the last day before the British 4-way teams will post their first outdoor scores this year, and it's the last opportunity to introduce more of the teams that may compete this weekend in Netheravon.
The World Challenge 2011 naturally attracted many of the UK teams to Bodyflight Bedford, and the NSL News recently covered the AAA Class competition with the focus on the home teams on UK soil.

Did you know that there was drama at the UKSL meet on Sunday? posted: Jul 14th, 2010 The NSL News story on 24 March 2010 explained why Joanne Hawley, member of the UK team Kaizen, missed the completion of the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2010. Coach Pete Allum had filled the slot for the remainder of the meet.
"Point Joanne Hawley had bad luck during the competition in DeLand and twisted her ankle. Coach Pete Allum filled the slot for the remaining rounds and the last training days in DeLand. Joanne Hawley will try to be back with her team for the indoor competition."
She did not make it back in time for the World Challenge 2010, and Vince Lamb filled the slot at the indoor competition... (more)
Did you know that UK team Eclipse increased the average by a point a week? posted: Jun 19th, 2010 Team Eclipse is a new team taking on the A Class in the United Kingdom Skydiving League. Eclipse finished second with an 8.7 average at the first UKSL meet of the 2010 season. Fast forward four weeks to the second UKSL meet last weekend, and Eclipse finished second again, this time with a 12.7 average though.
The team had worked hard to produce this improvement, and there is probably the potential to go even faster. Eclipse was formed following the UK Nationals 2009 in which three team members had entered as a scratch team and had been so pleased with the results that they decided to continue... (more)
Did you know that UK's 4-way scores were far more impressive than in Football? posted: Jun 17th, 2010 The second meet of the United Kingdom Skydiving League 2010 season was held at the Cark dropzone in the north west of England. 17 teams made the journey to Cark, and for the second time this season it was the junior categories that were most popular with seven teams registering for the Rookie Class, eight in the A Class and two in AA.
The high numbers of junior teams entering UKSL meets illustrates how accessible 4-way competition is in the United Kingdom and points to a high future standard, as competitors move up to the more senior ranks.

Did you know that the United Kingom Skydiving League launched the 2010 season with record participation? posted: May 30th, 2010 The British Parachute Association (BPA) has a new representative for Formation Skydiving. Richard Head continues the great work that Martin Soulsby and Andy Scott have been doing for the sport in the past years.
Richard "Tricky" Head has been and is still an active 4-way competitor as a member of UK team Phobia. The NSL News has covered the team's consistent progression through the competition classes on a regular basis.
Phobia was formed in 2006 and started 4-way competition in the Rookie Class. Richard and Laura Head are original members of 2006. The team arrived in the AAA Class competition... (more)
Did you know that the first multi-event weekend of 2010 is coming up? posted: May 21st, 2010 The upcoming weekend will feature the first multi-event leaderboard of the 2010 season. Meets are scheduled at five different locations, and the NSL News is on its way to report live on site from the Northern Plains Skydiving League season opener.
The Carolina Skydiving League and the Mideast Skydiving League will run their first meets of the 2010 season, as well. The other two meets take place in Italy and the United Kingdom.
