Did you know that the World Meet polls indicate no big surprises? posted: Aug 5th, 2008 The World Meet 2008 polls confirm Airspeed Odyssey as the top contender in the 4-way Open Class so far.
The NSL News audience indicates that the race for the silver medals might take place between Hayabusa Defence and France Maubeuge. The Belgian team has even passed the French national team at the moment. The Russian Sky Panthers would end up once again in 4th place. (more)
Did you know that two medalists of 2006 will defend their honors in the Women's Class? posted: Aug 4th, 2008 Comparing the lineups of the medal winners and top contenders at the World Meet 2006 in Germany and 2008 in France in the 4-way Open Class showed already that a few teams try again with the same or a very similar lineup this year (Russia, Belgium, Norway, Canada).
It is also a fact that all medal winners of 2006 are not competing again, at least not in the same category. There is not even one 4-way Open Class competitor who is defending a 2006 medal.

Did you know that you can pick your favorite team now at the NSL World Meet polls? posted: Aug 3rd, 2008 The World Meet 2008 is only eight days away, and the NSL pages of the event have received the last touch leading into the event. Polls for all three events have now been added to the previews, and it is time to vote for the teams that are expected to win medals.
No scores of any of the national teams will be posted from here on, it is time to only focus on the most relevant Formation Skydiving competition of the sport. Most of the teams have posted scores at different meets this year, including the top contenders for medals in France.

Did you know that the Tigers from Finland will compete in Maubeuge? posted: Aug 3rd, 2008 The last scores of a meet weekend before the World Meet 2008 have been posted, and they came from Finland.
The next numbers on the NSL leaderboard will be the scores of Round 1 in Maubeuge...
One of the teams from Finland will also appear on the World Meet's leaderboard of the Open Class.
The Tigers (Joonas Karjalainen, Nina Kivilompolo, Erkki Kursukangas, Nadja Lönnroth, Markus Pitkänen) won the national championship last week and will represent the Scandinavian country in France.

Did you know that the German federation works with the media for its national teams? posted: Aug 2nd, 2008 The German skydiving federation (Deutscher Fallschirmsport Verband - DFV) is once again working on its public relations for the sport leading into the World Meet 2008. These efforts began in 2006 when Germany hosted the World Championship of Formation Skydiving in Gera. (more)
Did you know that MASL team Wind Shear is looking for a 4th member? posted: Aug 1st, 2008 The MASL Karp Cup 2008 last weekend was already the 7th time that Skydive Cross Keys hosted the memorial of the MidAtlantic Skydiving League for one of its 4-way competitors, Seth Karp, passed member of former 4-way team JetStream. Seth Karp lost his life in a landing accident in 2002.
MASL Director Cherie Schuch once again organized the event and welcomed this year's six attending teams. Blue Impulse and Beer by 4 competed in the AA Class.
