Did you know that NSL-TV features the jump-off round between Perris Fury and Elsinore Gravity?
posted: Nov 3rd, 2006 The showdown between Perris Fury and Elsinore Gravity at the last SSL meet of the 2006 season now goes into overtime. Both teams were tied after six rounds and decided to take off for an additional round, which was supposed to break the tie. It did not work out that way since both teams were so locked into the tied situation. Nothing changed after the 35 seconds of the jump-off round. Both teams posted the highest scores of the meet for the fastest sequence (E-7-19) of the seven rounds. (more)

Did you know that the PR work for SkyQuest 2006 moves into the next phase?
posted: Nov 2nd, 2006 The upcoming NSL Championship at SkyQuest 2006 will once again be presented to the general public, as well. The cooperation with the media and the general public has always been an important part of the event. The championship events in 1999 and 2000 were even broadcast by the Sunshine Network with 30-minute shows both years. The NSL Championship moved to Fantasy of Flight in 2001 when SkyQuest was created. After four years at the theme park in Polk City, the NSL Championship now moves back to DeLand and brings along the whole SkyQuest inventory, including the Kaleidoscope Dives and the Pond... (more)

Did you know that France won IPC's Patrick de Gayardon Trophy for the first time?
posted: Nov 1st, 2006 The NSL News has focused for quite a while on the activities in the USA, and it is time for some international updates. French national coach Jerome David recently provided information from France. The NSL News was interested in the situation after the World Meet 2006. The FAI World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2006 in Germany was very successful for the European country. The French 8-way team won the gold medals for the first time in the history of Formation Skydiving competition. The 4-way team of the Open Class won silver medals, which were not really expected in the French headquarters.... (more)

Did you know that meet psychology made it very difficult for Elsinore Gravity?
posted: Oct 31st, 2006 NSL-TV now continues with the coverage of the September meet of the Southwest Skydiving League. Unfortunately, USPA and Skydive Arizona did not invite the NSL News to provide NSL-TV coverage of the USPA Nationals 2006. However, the videos of the SSL meet feature seven teams that competed at last week's competition in Eloy. The missing NSL-TV coverage of the USPA Nationals 2006 was mentioned in several messages that commented the NSL News coverage of the event. There is still good news for the audience. Did you know that the Fun Flag was also in Norwegian possession long ago?
posted: Oct 30th, 2006 Last week's USPA Nationals 2006 kept the NSL News busy enough to put other stories on a hold for a whole week. There is still a lot of material for follow-ups on the event in Eloy, which will be posted piece by piece. The NSL News now goes back to the story of the Fun Flag history, which has not been completed yet. The last part of the story was posted with the NSL News story on October 7. Canadian team videographer Billy Porter had reported how he stole the Fun Flag out of Jack Jefferies' hand at the award ceremony of the World Meet in 2001. (more)

Did you know that Airspeed's 16-way line-up is a re-union of former and current celebrities and VIP's?
posted: Oct 27th, 2006 The 4-way and 8-way events of the USPA Nationals 2006 were already completed Thursday morning. However, the event also includes a 10-way and a 16-way Formation Skydiving competition. A Russian line-up won the 10-way event as a guest team, and the gold medals were taken by a Perris team. The line-up was a combination of Perris Fury and members of other 4-way line-ups and individuals, guided by Dan BC: Joshua Hall, Christine Frikken, Steve Salamon, Michael Anderson, Piya Navanugraha, Dan BC, Christopher Farina, Bill Morrison, Kai Wolf, Billy Andrews.
