News Article Did you know that the AA Class competition for medals was even closer than the AAA Class race?
posted: Sep 15th, 2005 The NSL News has not completed the coverage of the AA/Intermediate Class competition at the USPA Nationals 2005 yet. The last story explained the AA Class situation at the end of round eight, when the battle between Elsinore Equinox and Arizona Divewerkz mirrored the race between the Golden Knights and DeLand Fire in the AAA/Open Class competition. It did not come to a jump-off for the gold medals in the AA Class, however, the race for the second place ended up with a 1-point difference. News Article Did you know that the NSL News hand-delivered SkyVenture Orlando certificates to several teams?
posted: Sep 14th, 2005 The NSL News had caught up with the results of the NSL SkyVenture Orlando Competition 2005 before the trip to the USPA Nationals and announced that the award certificates would be hand-delivered in Perris to as many of the winning teams as possible. It was a tight schedule on competition site, however there was still enough time here and there to locate the teams and even take some pictures for the NSL News. News Article Did you know that the Colorado league's Air Force teams peaked in Perris last week?
posted: Sep 13th, 2005 The NSL News missed one meet update of the Colorado Skydiving League. The scores of the two COSL teams that competed on the August 20 - 21 playoffs weekend were posted. However, COSL Director Brian Vande Krol had provided additional information of the meet, which has now been added to the league's homepage. The same two teams that competed on the NSL Playoffs 2005 weekend in Colorado traveled to Perris, California, shortly afterwards and competed in the AA/Intermediate Class of the USPA Nationals 2005. News Article Did you know that NSL-TV captured DeLand Fire's preparation for the jump-off?
posted: Sep 12th, 2005 The NSL News has returned to DeLand after the trip to the USPA Nationals 2005 in Perris. However, the coverage of the event is far from over. There are many stories for the follow-up, more video footage and pictures to come. Today, the NSL News story goes back to the situation between round ten of the AAA Class competition and the jump-off between DeLand Fire and the Golden Knights. It was difficult to keep up with the pace of the progression. News Article Did you know that Perris Synchronicity member Becky Brocato made it from New Orleans to Perris in time?
posted: Sep 9th, 2005 Perris Synchronicity is the old and new US national team of IPC's Women's Class and will represent the USA for the next two years at the international IPC events, beginning with the World Cup of Formation Skydiving 2005 in Eloy in October. Kim Glover, Jaimie Johnson, Sally Hathaway and Becky Brocato, filmed by John Lemming, successfully fended off the challenge by Fastrax Select. It was not a walk in the park for the defending world champions of IPC Women's Class. Fastrax Select had trained hard and was very serious with the team goal to win the qualification. (more)
News Article Did you know that the Paraclete line-up includes 8-way world champions Scott Rhodes and Charlie Brown?
posted: Sep 8th, 2005 The 8-way event is completed, and there was no surprise anywhere. Arizona Airspeed is the old and new USPA champion and will represent the USA in Germany next year. Airspeed finished the competition with a 19.9 average and eight points ahead of the Golden Knights in second place. Paraclete will receive the USPA bronze medals. The audience was hoping for a more exciting competition when the Golden Knights offered serious resistance through the first three jumps and even won a round by a point. However, Airspeed followed up with a commanding performance and simply won each round by one point for... (more)
